First Visit

Our office, as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a “Dental Home” for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.

You can make the first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive. If old enough, your child should be informed of the visit and told that the dentist and their staff will explain all procedures and answer any questions. The less to-do concerning the visit, the better.

Our goal is to educate you and your child about preventive care and make a personalized dental plan for your child in order to prevent dental decay. We enjoy treating children and we look forward to making your child’s visit fun and comfortable. We always welcome parents to sit with their children during visits.

To ensure that your child’s needs are met we offer, dental hygiene services, fluoride treatments, white fillings, sealants, mouthguards, emergency care, and comprehensive dental treatment. All of our doctors are laser certified and this allows for virtually needless treatment of baby teeth. We use lasers to numb the baby teeth, prepare teeth for a filling, and perform gum tissue procedures. For the anxious child we use nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and in-office oral sedation. We also provide in-office general anesthesia for select patients as well as hospital dentistry.

We strive to make each and every visit to our office a fun one!
